Hair Restoration With PRP

2017-06-05_10-50-13Do you suffer from thinning hair? Have you found that the traditional treatments like hair-growth medications don’t work for you? Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a non-invasive procedure for treating thinning hair that uses your own body’s plasma.

We treat our patients with cutting-edge procedures and technologies, and we’re excited to add PRP therapy to our slate of innovative treatments.

PRP therapy targets androgenetic alopecia, known as hereditary hair thinning, which affects both men and women.  Injecting the platelet-rich plasma into the scalp stimulates the hair follicles into a growth phase, causing the hair to grow again.*  The procedure is simple, and you can expect only minimal discomfort.

For this condition, PRP is an all-natural, non-invasive procedure used to stimulate the growth of hair and to reduce the effects of thinning.  This procedure has no downtime, and there is no risk of rejection because the process of retrieving PRP is exclusively from your own body.

First, a basic science lesson.  Your blood has many components, including plasma, the liquid in which blood cells are suspended.  Platelets are protein-rich blood cells that are primarily used to stop bleeding via clotting.  Plasma containing a strong concentration of platelets can have many uses. In this case, we use it to stimulate dermal papilla cells, a part of hair follicles.

On the day of treatment:

Our registered nurse will draw a small amount of blood from a patient’s arm, similar to what is required to fill a test tube.  A topical anesthetic is applied to numb the area of the scalp to be treated.

The blood is then placed into a centrifuge and spun at a very rapid rate to separate the platelets from the other components of the blood.   Once divided, the plasma has a higher-than-normal number of healing blood platelets referred to as platelet-rich plasma (PRP).  The highly concentrated platelets contain protein that stimulate hair follicles to generate hair growth.  Using a very-fine-gauge needle, PRP will be injected into the target area of the scalp where the hair loss is most severe.

Because the hair grows in stages, we recommend that our patients receive four PRP therapy treatments spaced four weeks apart.  PRP is highly effective in stimulating inactive hair follicles, causing them to revert to the growth phase.  After the first treatment, you may notice less hair loss.  After you have completed two or three treatments, your hair should be healthier and thicker.  Following your fourth treatment, optimal results are more visible, and you should notice thicker hair and new hair growth.

*Individual results may vary and cannot be guaranteed.

If you are interested in scheduling a consultation with Dr. Shawe to see if you’re a candidate for PRP hair restoration therapy, please call 215-836-7212.

The Pre-qualification Advantage

Obtaining a mortgage pre-qualification is the first step in determining the home price and mortgage monthly payments that you can afford.  Determining a price range may help alleviate some of the stress of shopping for a home.  Your offer will be stronger in the eyes of the seller, because it is more secure.

In order to determine the mortgage amount for which you may qualify, lenders will request to review the following information:

Credit score

Two most recent tax returns

30 days of most recent paystubs

Last 2 years’ W2 forms and/or complete federal tax returns

Recent copies of asset statements

Current mortgage statements and/or leases on rental properties

Copy of photo IDs

Contact me to learn more and obtain your FREE pre-qualification.

Once this information is reviewed, your lender will tell you the approximate maximum loan amount for which you could expect to qualify. This amount is based on an analysis of your financial situation.

With a pre-qualification in hand, you can start shopping for a home that meets your needs and budget.

If the realtor you pick suggests you use the in-house lender, know that you have other options. You want to be sure you select an experienced mortgage consultant who will help you find the right mortgage option. Additionally, you want to be sure your mortgage consultant will work hard for you and get you to the closing table on time with as little hassle as possible.

Increase Your Home’s Value by Upgrading Your Kitchen and Bath

Happy to have Bob Okenquist from Eagle Home Mortgage as a new contributor to The Bucks County Women’s Journal!

Is it time for a home remodel, but you don’t want to pay with credit cards? Consider the popular option of refinancing your mortgage while rates are low. This allows you to adjust the term of your loan, possibly lowering interest rates, and in turn lowering your monthly payment…making it easier to pay for the renovations of your dreams.

Contact Bob Okenquist at Eagle Home Mortgage today to find out how easy the process is.

Looking for inspiration? Check out the top 6 trends in home renovations:

  1. Heated Floors – These are especially popular for the bathroom, but they can also be added to the entry way. This makes sense during cold months. Nothing says luxury like radiant floor heating.
  2. Two-Tone Kitchen Cabinets – Go bold! Add color or texture to your kitchen by pairing two different cabinet styles together for a stunning and updated look. Be sure to upgrade to 42-inch models, instead of 36-inch standard sizes. Splurge on fancy hardware for drawers and cabinets for added drama.  Don’t forget to add crown molding to the top for a finished look.
  1. Ditch the Formal Dining Room – Give that square footage more purpose and expand the kitchen, where everyone congregates. For greater resale value, build in a kitchen nook that will be enjoyed more than a closed-off room that’s reserved for Thanksgiving dinners.
  1. Expanded Bathrooms – If room allows, knock down some walls and increase your bathroom space. Make your bathroom feel more like a spa by adding a chaise lounge, large dresser, antique vanity, or other pieces that you choose.

At Eagle Home Mortgage, we have a wide range of financing solutions to assist our customers in achieving their dream of homeownership, including government-endorsed loan programs as well as specialty ones only available through Eagle Home Mortgage.  We’ve been making homeownership and refinancing possible since 1984 and offer complimentary prequalifications for prospective borrowers.

Local Nonprofit Funds Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Veterans and First Responders

By Denise Mercado, President Chambers for Hope,
Jane Darnell, Community Relations, Chambers for Hope-PA

Chambers for Hope is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that offers financial assistance to those seeking Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy as a supplemental treatment to their existing medical protocol. The Chambers for Hope headquarters is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina and consists of quality Hyperbaric Centers in several states throughout the United States. Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center, located in Langhorne, PA is a member of the Chambers for Hope Network and serves the Bucks County and surrounding areas.

Chambers for Hope_AD

As with all members of the Chambers for Hope Network, Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center is committed to helping veterans, police, firefighters, EMTs, other adults, and children gain access to quality hyperbaric oxygen therapy for many insurance-based and internationally treated conditions. These conditions include autism, stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, concussion, Lyme disease, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, wound healing, and many others.

Throughout the Chambers for Hope Network, over 25 grants have been issued to individuals in need of hyperbaric oxygen therapy with positive results. In the short time since opening its doors, Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center has treated five individuals with grants from Chambers for Hope. These patients include veterans with traumatic brain injury and other combat-related injuries.

Chambers for Hope_David_Nick“Since treating at Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center, located close to my home in Langhorne, I have noticed that my mind is clear. I also noticed a decrease in pain in my back. Unfortunately, I still had pain in my shoulders. I used to get depressed when my brain was foggy and I couldn’t think straight and was forgetful. In addition to being depressed, I got agitated, and things would snowball from there. My girlfriend tells me my mood has been better, more stable, not as many mood swings. I sleep more soundly, can think more clearly, and am less forgetful. HBOT is the best treatment I have ever received. I have been through every type of treatment available and tried every medication the doctor prescribed for me. HBOT helped me more in two days than a years’ worth of medications. Treating with HBOT is something I love doing. It makes me feel more like myself. I’m hopeful that one day other veterans will be able to get this treatment close to their homes as well.”
Nick S., USMC

2016-02-03_16-51-29Under the leadership of its owner Victoria Bliss-Calkins, Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center obtained accreditation from The Joint Commission – one of the leading accreditation bodies in the country. Patients and their families benefit knowing Oxygen Oasis has met the high standards for quality and safe patient care. Physician oversight is one of the many requirements for admission to the Chambers for Hope Network. At Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center, Medical Director Benjamin Lam, DO, FACOS, and his staff of physicians, provide quality assessment and follow-up for all hyperbaric oxygen treatments. Dr. Michael Montico is the Center’s MAPS physician. He uses a functional medicine approach in evaluating all of his patients. Dr. Montico has additional training in caring for individuals with complex pediatric conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Cerebral Palsy (CP).

Jane Darnell is the Business Development Manager for Oxygen Oasis and serves on the Chambers for Hope Community Relations Committee for the Pennsylvania chapter. The goal of this committee is to build relationships in the community and share information about the benefits of hyperbaric medicine. As such, Jane is an active participant in the Coalition for Firefighters and Police Benefits (CFPB). The Coalition was formed to offer discounts and special services to veterans and first responders through each of the members’ respective businesses. After learning about Chambers for Hope’s mission to fund hyperbaric treatment for veterans and first responders, the CFPB members unanimously agreed to select Chambers for Hope – PA as its local nonprofit for their fund-raising efforts. Their first event – “Bowling for Heroes and Their Families” was held last November at the Brunswick Zone in Feasterville.

With the help of local companies Parx Casino, Brian’s Harley Davidson, Railway Specialties Corporation, National Penn Bank, CMI Countertops, Penn Community Bank and many others, the CFPB raised $10,090. These funds will support two veterans who have been on the Chambers for Hope-PA waiting list. Army Veteran David Torres suffers with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS). He will start hyperbaric oxygen treatment at Oxygen Oasis in early February along with his 3-year-old daughter Gia who was diagnosed with autism. Air Force veteran Kenneth Vann is the second recipient of the grant. He is currently being treated at the center. Both are very appreciative to receive 100% funding from Chambers
for Hope-PA.

For more information about Chambers for Hope and to see patient testimonials, visit our website at www.chambersforhope.org. We are honored to have Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania as a member of the Chambers for Hope Network. We will continue to work closely with Victoria Bliss-Calkins and the staff at Oxygen Oasis Hyperbaric Wellness Center to ensure that those in need of HBOT in Bucks County and surrounding areas receive this vital treatment. Relieving Vertigo Symptoms Through Physical Therapy

2016-02-16_9-52-45People who have vertigo and are suffering from symptoms of dizziness, nausea, loss of balance, and vomiting may not know that there is a one-time treatment that can cure those symptoms and allow them to return to a normal life. Physical therapists expertly trained in vestibular therapy can perform a single maneuver on patients experiencing these symptoms that 80% of the time will eliminate the vertigo.

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, or BPPV, is a peripheral vestibular disorder involving the inner ear that causes spells of vertigo that typically last less than one minute, when the head is in certain positions.
The onset of vertigo can cause dizziness, making the patient feel off balance, and sometimes can induce nausea and vomiting. Common everyday tasks, like doing situps, reaching for a kitchen cabinet, or bending over to pick something up can cause an episode.

This can mean patients avoid doing things they love, like working out. For elderly patients, untreated vertigo can mean a loss of mobility and independence because they may be afraid that moving around could cause them to fall. For this reason, it is very important that patients be treated immediately.

In an amazing process, a physical therapist will lay someone down on the exam table, roll them, and, when they sit up, their symptoms are gone. Often, regular therapy can take six weeks to be effective. The physical therapy treatment for vertigo is very effective, very quick, and involves no drugs.

BPPV can be attributed to several causes, but, in approximately 58% of cases, the exact cause in unknown. Head trauma accounts for 6-18%, while infection, inflammation, or ischemia accounts for 3-9%. The risk for BPPV increases with age. Eighty-five percent of adults over 65 years of age have BPPV.

A trained therapist using the Dix-Hallpike test, confirms the diagnosis of BPPV. In this test, the patient turns the head 45 degrees to one side and is quickly laid down with the head hanging over the edge of a table. While this test is being performed, the patient wears infrared goggles to observe eye movements. If BPPV is truly present, a rapid eye movement, called a nystagmus, will be seen and recorded by a trained physical therapist, and the patient will experience dizziness.

In the healthy inner ear, three structures called the semicircular canals detect angular head movements such as looking up and down. Two other structures, the utricle and the saccule, detect both movement of the head in straight lines as well as the pull of gravity. The presence of calcium carbonate crystals in the utricle and saccule enable them to do this normally. BPPV occurs when the calcium particles break loose from the utricle and travel to one of the three semicircular canals located in the inner ear.

The treatment for this type of vertigo involves manually moving the crystals out of the canals. The most-common treatment for BPPV, the Epley Maneuver, will correct vertigo in one visit 80% of the time when performed by a physical therapist specifically trained in vestibular therapy. A skilled therapist will lay the patient down with the head tilted to get the crystals to move. When dizziness subsides and the crystals have settled into a new position, the therapist will move the patient a second time, to move the crystals farther along in the canal. When dizziness subsides again, the patient will sit up, and the crystals will have been put back into the utrical. To ensure all the crystals were put back correctly, the Epley Maneuver is performed a second time to make sure the patient isn’t still getting dizzy.

Even though this treatment is simple and effective, patients may put off contacting a therapist because they don’t want to feel worse before they feel better. But a skilled therapist can talk the patient through the procedure reassuringly to make sure he or she doesn’t feel poorly.

If a family member knows someone suffering from vertigo or dizzy symptoms, it is important to get to the primary care provider, who can directly refer to a vestibular physical therapist. If this is happening to you or a loved one, talk to your physician about a vestibular therapist referral.

Medication can calm down symptoms but doesn’t effectively treat the cause. It is important to keep patients active and mobile, so they don’t develop balance problems along with the vertigo. BPPV also affects women more than men and can cause migraines, which also disproportionately affect women.

Because not all therapists are trained in vestibular therapy, it is important to use a therapist who has been certified in the treatment of BPPV to ensure the most success in diagnosis and treatment. A video of a demonstration of how therapists diagnose and treat BPPV is available at wwspt.com.

The team of professionals at WWS Physical Therapy is committed to the profession of movement science and strives to provide an environment of healing to assist patients in recovering to their desired functional level, whether it is simple daily activities with their families or highly competitive sports. We look forward to a long-term relationship with our patients over their lifespan and to becoming their practitioner of choice for musculoskeletal and balance issues. She has been involved in teaching vestibular rehabilitation to other physical therapists at the Herdmann vestibular certification course for many years and lectures locally on vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management for PTs, MDs, PA-Cs, and CRNPs. Her practice is presently involved in a clinical trial with Temple University for the treatment of lateral canal BPPV.

As owners, we pride ourselves on creating a great experience for our customers. We’ve always loved working with people. Pat has experience working in an Edible Arrangements store, and Mike previously owned a business and was a produce manager. We teamed up at Edible Arrangements to gain something more.

We’re excited that our business is always changing and evolving, offering new items and toppings all the time. We spent two weeks at the Edible Arrangements corporate headquarters, where we learned the ins and outs of the business and became eager to build a store to serve the Quakertown area. Construction began in early January and finished the third week in April.

Since opening on April 24, 2015, Edible Arrangements has been delivering fruit and happiness to Quakertown locals. Every arrangement is made fresh, using the highest-quality fruit dipped in gourmet chocolate. Every customer who stops by is amazed at how different our store is compared to others.

2015-12-28_18-45-20We offer the same great Edible Arrangements products that other stores offer, but, on opening day, we were only one of six stores in Pennsylvania selling fresh fruit smoothies.

In addition to arrangements, we offer fresh On-The-Go treats to enjoy. Pick out a couple pieces of fruit or walk away with a customized box, snack on a Pineapple Pop, or try one of our smoothies. We have something for everyone! That’s what makes us different.

In our Edible-To-Go line, we offer fresh fruit salads, parfaits, and sundaes. Along with smoothies, we have blended drinks like limeade, lemonade, and orangeade. Our drinks are made with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juice, ice, and all-natural agave nectar (upon request). Optional add-ins include low-fat yogurt, flax seed, kale, spinach, oats, whey protein, and more.

2015-12-28_18-46-57When customers visit our website or give us a call, they learn about our seasonal and holiday themed arrangements as well as arrangements for any and every occasion. When they stop in the store, they can learn about our seasonal drinks and toppings, like Perfect Pumpkin Pie Smoothie, Nut Lovers Indulgence Smoothie, Frozen Hot Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Pistachios, and other winter-themed goodies.

We love being located in Quakertown, and we’ve already noticed a loyal customer base for both arrangements and To-Go options. We do everything we can to make our customers’ experience a great one.

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

(Or Not…If You Are Thinking About Divorce)

2015-12-07_14-04-19January is dubbed “divorce month” because many people are now saying, “Let’s make this the last good holiday for the kids and our families” or “Let’s wait until after the New Year when the kids go back to school.” No matter what the reason, divorce is never easy, and there is no good time for planning it. I know; I’m divorced and wished the first holidays away. I also can tell you, from experience, there is no last best holiday.

My first Christmas divorced went much smoother than I expected. I set realistic goals and put my children’s thoughts and feelings first. I even enjoyed the two hours alone and my glass of wine before they returned home for dessert. However, everyone is different, and both parties involved must be willing to put their kids’ feelings first. (Please note: The best advice anyone can give you through divorce: “Consider your children’s feelings FIRST.”)

If divorce is what you are thinking for January, you can still plan ahead, and, with planning, you may just pull off a wonderful holiday too.

1. Complete a budget. Fill out a budget of your spending over the last year. Ask your spouse to do the same since you’ll need this moving forward. Make a holiday spending budget with and without your spouse. Overspending over the holidays adds a lot of stress to happily married couples, so imagine the stress it adds to divorcing couples. Alleviate some of this anxiety by setting expectations on gift giving. I suggest that you both set cash aside and agree to only spend that. If cash is not an option, agree to a set amount to charge and write it down.

2. Be careful with credit cards!! Get a credit report at http://www.annualcreditreport.com. Credit reports allow you to see all outstanding bills and credit problems, if any. If you do not have a card in your own name, apply for one now. When going through divorce, oftentimes money is unavailable and expenses need to be paid by credit. If you only have joint cards, access may be shut off by your spouse. Be mindful that your friends may advise you to max out your credit, but they might be unaware that you may also be responsible for repaying the debt.

3. This is when year-end financial statements will be generated. Look for them in the mail and make copies of anything that you find. If you see prior year statements, gather them. Copy any and all credit card statements.

4. If you receive monetary gifts, keep them in a safe place out of your home. Don’t commingle them. Explore obtaining a safety deposit box or leave money with a trusted family member. This is also a good idea for storing any financial statements that you gather.

5. Be mindful of social media! Once you put it out there, it stays there forever. Think of how others perceive what they see and how it would affect your children. The world doesn’t need to know your business through divorce. Emotions take over, and poor decisions are then made. You should change all your passwords and create a safe place, perhaps a new email, to send and receive private financial and legal information.

6. Start thinking about your divorce team. Some of the advisors you may need are a certified divorce financial analyst (CDFA), mediator, therapist, CPA, CFP, and lawyer. Call me to help you put this team together.

7. Start a new tradition with your children, family, and/or friends this year. By doing this, next year you will all have something to look forward to, and you will enjoy having something new for now. This will also act as a reminder that this is not your last happy holiday but the beginning of a new happy.

8. Finally, play your favorite holiday music, journal the things that you are grateful for, and remember that this is a wonderful time of the year if we focus on the endless opportunities life has to offer!

Since my divorce, I made a New Year’s resolution to “Make the Rest of My Life the Best of My Life.” I thought it would be interesting to hear what some of my clients’ New Year’s resolutions are. These women are either separated, divorced, or in the thick of the process.

● “Create a budget and STICK TO IT.”
● “Always remember I have options! That way I never stay stuck.”
● “Embrace whatever life throws at me and accept that every day happens for a reason.”
● “Forgive and let go and move forward.”
● “Live the best and most fulfilling life I can and just be happy.”
● “Make a point to no longer feel guilty over things I can’t control.”
● “Looking to be excellent!!”
● “Get through a day without thinking how horrible my ex is.”
● “Once and for all to deal with my anger and allow myself to fully embrace happiness”
● “Focus on myself more; I’ve never really done that.”
● “Maintain a healthy body, be mindful, and practice loving kindness!”

Being a CDFA has allowed me to help many people through the divorce process. Raising five children has allowed me to understand what it is like to love unconditionally. Now, as a divorced woman, I understand this emotional process and how the holidays can be difficult. In time, things get better, and I look forward to you all believing that life is what we make of it and we can create our own happiness!

To the few clients whose resolutions I used above, congratulations on taking steps to a bright future. You all inspire me, and for that I am grateful. Thank you and Happy Holidays to you all!!

From Bicycle to Beyond

3-5-2013 4-50-27 PMOftentimes, a person has a preconceived notion about the potential for success. That innocent shortsightedness places an imagined barrier that seems impossible to cross. Other times, people push themselves, achieve greatness, and realize a life beyond their dreams.

Wilbur and Orville Wright were high school graduates from Dayton, Ohio who owned a bicycle shop. They became world renowned for their ability to design, craft, and build custom bicycles for racing. The Wright brothers had a vision that men could master flight. They used their imagination, ingenuity, observation, skill in design, discipline, and determination to build and test gliders on the coast of North Carolina. From these experiments, they were able to perfect the first airplane and successfully achieve manned flight on December 17, 1903.

These two brothers got off their bicycles and pushed themselves to explore and achieve something important that would benefit everyone for centuries to come. Some people, however, never get off that bicycle.

Over the past three decades of private practice, I have met many, many patients who have impaired hearing. These individuals are unable to understand soft speech, require others to repeat what they said, mistake some words for other words, respond inappropriately to questions and comments, need to have the television volume control placed at a higher- than-normal level, choose not to participate in conversations or groups because they can’t hear, etc.

Essentially, they are going in circles, repeating the same experiences and not making any improvements or changes for the better. They are riding a proverbial bicycle and do not realize they can make a change and dismount. They feel there is nothing available that can make a difference and help them have a better quality of life.

Their new avenue in life could be better hearing provided by a board- certified, licensed audiologist. This professional has the ability to complete an extensive case history, conduct a comprehensive audiological evaluation, review the results, and provide recommendations. This audiologist will help them get down off that bicycle and move forward in life.

Digital amplification has been available since about 1998. Technological advancements in the industry are easily in the 20th generation of development and are beyond the reader’s imagination. Amplification not only makes sounds louder but also makes soft sounds audible, normal sounds clear, and loud sounds tolerable and noninvasive. Speech is emphasized, and background signal is quieted—so the wearer is able to understand what is being said.

In addition, an array of wireless accessories allow patients to use today’s audio technology to best advantage. They can use a remote control to change programs depending upon the listening situations, whether it’s normal conversation, listening to music, watching television, or speaking on the phone. A streamer can be attached to their TV to wirelessly transfer the signal directly from the TV to the hearing aids. The television can be muted so as not to disturb others, and the signal is sent directly to the wearer for easy listening.

Yes, better hearing IS possible. But you need to make the choice to get off that bicycle and seek out what’s available to improve the quality of your life. Doesn’t that sound better than continuing to ride that bicycle to nowhere?

As 2015 comes to a close, it’s time to take stock and make the necessary changes you’ve been putting off. Make a commitment to yourself to check your hearing and find out what improvements you can make. The Wright Brothers dared to jump off the bicycle and fly. All you have to do is pick up the telephone and schedule an appointment to see a board-certified, licensed private practice audiologist to hear better today.

Creating Wellness Through Balance

2015-10-07_11-47-24I’ve been a massage therapist since 2001 and became a Certified Life Coach in 2013. I’ve been involved in Health and Wellness on some level all my adult life. I’ve experienced and researched many trends and fads throughout the years.

What I found is that there are several different components to achieving health and wellness in your life. One that stands out considerably is creating a balance of mind, body, and spirit to the best of our ability. Creating balance empowers us with a stronger sense of self, helping us achieve an overall feeling of wellness. A major course of action toward wellness occurs when we begin to take 100% responsibility for our own feelings, thoughts, and choices. We all have an inner GPS, an inner Knowing that indicates to us what we need to look at that might be creating our imbalance.

Imbalance can also occur during a transitional stage of career change, divorce, relocation/moving, loss of a loved one, health issues, marriage, or becoming a new parent.

The top 3 essential building blocks for taking responsibility are:

1. Willingness ~ Willingness means deciding you are ready to take responsibility. You are ready to see things differently and ultimately choose to do something different.

2. Awareness ~ Awareness is the key to change; we cannot change what we are unaware of. Being present with our body, thoughts, and feelings connects us to the ability to notice ourselves. We become more aware of what is working for us and what isn’t.

3. Change of Being ~ Implementing the change of being is done through a series of small baby steps. The smallest step can create motivation to keep us moving forward. Most important is acknowledging ourselves for all the small baby steps we complete.

The balance may not be in how we count the hours in day. Instead, it is in knowing what we value most and making sure all the things we need in life are present and fully accounted for.
